“When They Go Low: Evaluation and Management of Lower Eyelid Retraction.”
Course Description
Lower eyelid malposition is common and has several causes ranging from normal aging to bad cosmetic surgery to a prominent eye, among others. Eyelid retraction can cause disfigurement but importantly can also be a source of ocular surface exposure. In many patients, dry eye is chiefly due to eyelids that do not adequately protect the cornea. This talk will explore the various causes, the clinical findings, and the treatments, both medical and surgical, of lower eyelid retraction.
