Dr. Bavand Youssefzadeh is a Board Certified Fellowship trained associate physician and surgeon specializing in refractive surgery, corneal diseases and treatment, cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, glaucoma management and surgery, and an array of general ophthalmology procedures. Dr. Youssefzadeh was in the top percentile of his medical school class and graduated as a member of the Sigma Sigma Phi medical school honor society, as well as being class president. He obtained his undergraduate at Baylor University in biochemistry and attended medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific in Pomona, California. Dr. Youssefzadeh completed his Residency in Ophthalmology at NOVA Southeastern University/Larkin Community Hospital and was named Chief Resident.
Dr. Youssefzadeh is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Medical Association, the Cornea Society and a member of the American Osteopathic Colleges of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology. Dr. Youssefzadeh is fluent in Farsi as well as Spanish and volunteered in Peru with the Red Cross. Dr. Youssefzadeh completed his Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Gordon Schanzlin New Vision Institute and we are pleased he has joined our practice as our associate. His practice focuses on laser refractive surgery, corneal diseases and treatment, cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants, refractive lens surgery, pterygium treatment and surgery, glaucoma management and surgery.
