California Vision Foundation

Previously known as Vision USA California, the California Vision Foundation (CVF) is an American Optometric Association (AOA) sponsored program.  Started in 1989, CVF is part of the charitable arm of the California Optometric Association (COA) and was renamed the California Vision Foundation in 2000.
CVF is a non-profit, optometric charity that provides low income, working uninsured families with free comprehensive eye exams and low cost glasses throughout California.

Dr. John Riggs, on behalf of the San Diego County Optometric Society, presents a $4,530 to check to Dr. Philip Ong, President of the California Vision Foundation at the SDCOS meeting on August 20, 2009 held at the Handlery Hotel in San Diego.  SDCOS held a charity golf tournament on July 12, 2009 to benefit CVF.
