Doctors, have you found yourself wanting to make a difference in your community? Have you found yourself wanting to volunteer at one of our society clinics or screenings, but found yourself unable to break free on just that weekend? Or you wanted to try the LOVC clinic, but it was just too far a drive for you to make, and still see patients in your office on the same day?
Well, you now have an opportunity to serve, especially for those of you located or working in the North County area. The Vista Community Clinic, located in, well, Vista, currently has a diabetic patient population of over 2000 people. We need optometrists to do diabetic retinopathy exams on these patients. The clinic has been provided with a slit lamp, so all that is needed now is a fundus lens, your skills, and, of course, your willingness to give two to three hours once every two or three months.
If you’re interested, if you want to make a difference, please contact Dr. Doug Osborne at 760.729.4327, or email: villageidoc@sbcglobal.net.
