Welcome to Step Out to Fight Diabetes, benefitting the American Diabetes Association!
Grab your walking shoes and embrace your fund-raising spirit. Registration for the first annual Step Out to Fight Diabetes walk is now underway, and you're invited to join us. Step Out promises to be fun, bold, exciting and meaningful.
Formerly America 's Walk for Diabetes, Step Out is a newly revitalized event—a whirlwind of energy, support and shameless dedication. As someone who has participated in the past, we want you to be the first to Step Out with us in 2007!
To register, simply go online to diabetes.org/stepout. LOG IN with your previous year's user name and password BEFORE registering for this year's event.
Next, find the Step Out event nearest you and click on Register to make your "First Step Gift" of $15. (Children 17 and under participate free!) Then, set a fund-raising goal and take the first step toward receiving some incredible "thank you" gifts! You can also register by calling 1-888-DIABETES.
When you participate in Step Out, 21 million people will benefit from your life-saving efforts. Diabetes is America 's fastest growing disease, but the funds you raise will help turn that around. It's time to Step Out together to make an impact toward diminishing this alarming statistic.
Step Out on your own, or with others! Step Out is an invigorating way to fight a serious health problem, and it's also a great excuse to spend the day with friends, family and co-workers. Whether you join a corporate team, organize a group with your local fitness club, unite with a Step Out national team, or form a team with the people you love, you'll encounter a ton of camaraderie, solidarity and support when participating as part of a Step Out Team.
